America’s Cup Live Sailing brings you real-time 3D animation of the 2007 season so you can can enjoy 32nd America's Cup sailing action when and where you like.

  1. Live: All races are provided to you in real time. Live data from the racing yachts is usually provided from around 30 minutes before the pre start, with a precise count down to the start so you know exactly when the action begins.
  2. Menu display: this menu allow you to display the following information
    - Advantage line: display the advantage of a racing yacht to the other in meters
    - Distance: Display the distance between yachts in meters
    - VMG: (Velocity made good): Display the VMG of every yacht. VMG is the actual boat speed in relation to a specific direction
    - Speed: Display the speed of every yacht
    - Trajectories: display dotted line behind each yacht to show the path he followed
    - Laylines: Display the laylines. A layline is an imaginary line indicating the optimal bearing to a mark
    - Weather information: Display up to 5 weather buoys on the race area. Each weather buoy provides wind direction and strength. Weather information is updated every 5 minutes.
    - Grid: display a virtual grid on the race area.
  3. Menu Camera : You can choose between a wide range of pre set cameras to see the races from different angles. With your mouse, you can also freely move around the race area.
    - next buoy: Puts your camera on the next buoy the racing yacht shall turn
    - all boats: Selects a view where all racing yachts are visible. On this menu, if you chose one of the yachts it automatically closes up to that particular yacht
    - race: General view of the race area
    - auto: Automatically switches between all of the above preset cameras.
  4. Zoom: Thanks to this cursor you can zoom and unzoom in/out of the action
  5. Player: you can pause, rewind or fast forward the action at any time. This is particularly useful when reviewing an archived race, or to review the start after a race after it has begun
  6. Time line: drag and drop the cursor to jump to any particular moment in a race
  7. Live pictures: From time to time, live pictures are displayed during races so you get an even more realistic experience of the event
  8. Multirace viewer: Click on the blue icon to display all races on the main screen
  1. Chose a race: Click on a race to display it on the main screen
  2. Live text: Live written commentaries from on site journalists are displayed on the bottom of the viewer. These commentaries are on every race. On site journalists write live commentaries of each simultaneous race. Commentaires are displayed during races
  3. Live audio: Click on this button and get live commentaries (in English) from on-the-water commentators.
  4. Programme: This section provides you the day-by-day programme of races of the 2007 event
  5. Results: All results are showed immediately after the end of the races, together with a constantly updated ranking
  6. Archives: You've missed a race? America's Cup Live Sailing gives you access to previous races exactly how and when you want.
